Everyone has a CV of success – but what about a CV of failure? As the academic year comes to a close, we invite you to look back not only at milestones but also at the missteps along the way. In this lighthearted lunch lecture, you will get to know the concept of the “CV of failure”. We’ll explore how missed opportunities, rejected papers, and experiments gone wrong can be just as valuable as achievements, and discuss how to create a culture where talking about mistakes is not only possible but productive. Learn from setbacks, see failure as opportunity, and help make it OK to think and talk about what didn’t work out. Bring your curiosity and a story or two from this past year!

Due to a conflicting important meeting this Lunch Lecture was reschedulded from Dec. 15 to Dec. 17, 2025. The Lunch Lectures are organised by the Academic Staff Development in Department 1 Research Services. They take place monthly in German or English on different days of the week at 12 noon.
