Strategies for Creativity in Science

Scientific work depends not only on rigorous methods but also on creative thinking to develop new
theories and solve practical problems. This workshop focuses on concrete strategies to activate
creativity. Brief inputs on creativity research will provide context, but the emphasis will be on doing:
participants will learn about and apply methods that support flexible thinking and idea generation, and reflect on how to integrate creative processes into their own research.

This workshop is part of this year's “Skills’n’Thrills” Competence Days for postdoctoral researchers, junior professors, and tenure-track professors. Subject to availability, postdocs from other research institutions in Leipzig as well as doctoral researchers, professors, and science managers from Leipzig University are also welcome to participate. Places will be allocated based on the order of expressions of interest received by September 1, 2025. Please reserve your preferred date in your calendar.
