Using film, images, charts and graphs to promote critical thinking
Inhalte
There are many positive reasons why educators should include visual elements in their teaching materials. However, students often fail to get the full benefit from the films, images, charts and graphs that educators present, so often they remain an underexploited resource.
In this practical session, we will demonstrate a number of ways teachers can exploit media such as short films, visual images, charts and graphs to encourage students to reflect, cooperate, and employ various critical thinking skills effectively so that visuals become a tool to promote active learning.
