Achieving goals with self-care: Your timeout for more focus

Our everyday lives can be quite demanding: one deadline follows another, and we rush from task to task. The boundaries between private life and work often become blurred, and the expectations we set for ourselves – and that others set for us – are high. To meet these challenges in a self-determined way, it is crucial to take care of ourselves. Sometimes, it's useful to take a step back, re-centre, and then move forward with renewed focus.
In this workshop, we provide a space to pause and explore questions such as: What's working well and what's not? Which goals am I focusing on, and do they align with my priorities? What steps can I take to achieve the goals I've set? How can I manage expectations and demands in a healthy mental way? What are my sources of strength and what can I do to recharge?
We support you working on your individual topics in a structured and confidential atmosphere, introducing you to useful concepts, tools, and exercises. The exchange with colleagues brings you feedback and new ideas.

The event is part of the Skills'n'Thrills Competence Days for Postdocs and Junior Professors, taking place from September 30 to October 2, 2024. However, other interested parties are also warmly invited to participate in the workshop and the accompanying program of the Competence Days.
