Python for Beginners
Inhalte
n this course, participants will learn the basics of the Python programming language, with a particular focus on using Python for handling, visualising, and analysing research data. This course will introduce data wrangling techniques using libraries such as pandas and polars. With an emphasis on practical application, the course will guide participants through the process of importing, cleaning, and transforming data using these libraries. In addition to data wrangling, participants will also explore data visualisation using libraries such as matplotlib and seaborn to represent data graphically. Strategies for developing an efficient workflow centred around Python, and making use of Jupyter Notebooks as an interactive computational environment, will be highlighted. After the completion of this course, each participant should be able to confidently manage and analyse data, facilitating reproducibility in their projects. This course does not intend to cover in-depth statistical theory.
